Participating in the Step Up Program is always a rewarding and meaningful experience. This immersion gives young people the opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the world of business and careers they might not otherwise have access to.
This year, our mentee was able to discover the day-to-day role of an in-house lawyer, the variety of responsibilities we undertake, and the challenges of our professional environment. We were committed to welcoming her and sharing our experience in order to provide a practical insight into our profession.

Completing this internship program at two large international companies as a master's student was amazing. I now have a better idea of what legal practice is like. Thanks to the Step Up program, i had the opportunity to do two internships in Paris, one at Danone and one at FedEx.

Joining Step Up was an incredible opportunity for me to work with companies where I learned as much on a professional level as on a human one. Through my internships at Umicore and Manuchar, both in fields that were completely new to me, I came away with insights and advice I can apply not only to my area of interest, but to many other contexts as well. I recently completed the Step Up internship with FedEx which proved to be an incredibly rewarding experience. During my time there, I learned a tremendous amount about drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and gained a deep understanding of the wider FedEx logistics business.
I would absolutely recommend this program to other students or graduates as in my opinion it has been a life-changing experience offering unparalleled insight into a highly specialised industry, which if you want to go into a specialised niche as a lawyer, would be very helpful in getting you started. Throughout the Program, I had the opportunity to meet and speak with many professionals who shared how they built their careers, including the challenges, the lessons learned, and tips that I find genuinely valuable as someone starting this journey.
I also participated in meetings and corporate events, and was exposed to a wide range of topics through tasks and activities that helped me give concrete context to what I learned during my studies and understand how things work in practice.
This experience broadened my perspective and left me feeling more prepared and confident to enter the job market.

Candidates joining us become a full member of the Legal team for the duration of their internship and go through an induction to discover the company and organization of the Legal function, trainings and missions adapted to their future orientation.
